Winding Trail Lodge has it all! A spacious, living area with a wonderful fireplace with lots of room to gather and visit, overlooking one of the clearest lakes around - perfect for fishing, canoeing or just lounging on the dock. Located inside Holly Lake Ranch, East Texas’ premier gated-vacation resort, you’ll enjoy amenities such as hiking trails, swimming pools, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, fishing, canoeing, golfing, not to mention an activities center with a game room, a mini-theater and 2 restaurants on premises. This fully-furnished, 3-bedroom, single-level lodge with a massive picture window is perfect for families, girl's or guy's getaway or 3 couples just wanting to get away from the big city for a while.
We offer a canoe to use for a relaxing time on this small private lake with no public access. You are welcome to bring kayaks as well. This lake does not allow boats with motors. Many fish have been caught off our private boat dock.
100 miles east of Dallas and within minutes of Mineola, Gladewater and Jefferson with scores of antique shops, lakes, wineries and some of the best motorcycle riding in the country, you may find yourself saying, “Do we have to go back”?
Please note that as of April 1, 2022 there will be a fee for guests to bring motored watercraft in to Holly Lake Ranch to use on the private lakes. The fee is $50 and is good for three days for watercraft on Lake Greenbriar or Holly Lake.

Summary: We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The kitchen was very well stocked with all you need for cooking. The wildlife was wonderful and we couldn’t have enjoyed it any more!! Great vacation spot in the piney woods of ETX.

Summary: Beautiful property We loved the huge picture windows withe the view of the lake and sitting on the outside deck we saw lots of deer and even a Red Fox great place we met lots of residents on our walks of the grounds and everyone was so friendly

Summary: Living in a big city like Houston sometimes requires getting away to reset. This is the perfect spot to do so.There was only wemen in our group and we felt safe and comfortable. The pictures, description and reviews just don't do this property justice.

Summary: Owners were great to work with! The house was clean and beautiful. Great location in Holly Lake Ranch with easy access to all the amenities. Everything you need was supplied by the owners. The lake was quiet and we enjoyed kayaking and fishing. This rental has everything you need for an enjoyable relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

Summary: Even though the home is in a neighborhood we felt completely secluded due to all of the trees. Viewing the lake from the living room windows, deck, or dock was very peaceful. We were a little surprised by the overgrowth of foliage on the grounds since the pictures show it to be cleared, but the kids enjoyed playing on the deck and all of the community amenities offered. We enjoyed the home, and the hosts were very accommodating and quick to reply. Wwereweresurprised by the

Summary: This is our second time staying here. The property manager is accommodating and great at communicating. The location is perfect! The inclusion of a canoe was greatly appreciated. We had the most relaxing weekend to end our summer!
